The first climb to get the blood pumping and warm things up a bit. White line? What white line? Ohhh that white line...... |

The A Grade bunch attack the first hill just out of Ormond. As soon as the camera was out, Steve Webb positioned himself at the front of the bunch for that perfect photo opportunity. Must be something to do with riding a Giant T Mobile? Tom Johnson is starting to see the benefits of increased training and is now climbing like a lightweight! |

The A Grade bunch approach Te Karaka, and again Steve Web gets the No:1 position for the camera :) Hoskin was to be sidelined soon after puncturing. The ever present Stephen Sheldrake was recovering before beginning another surging onslaught. |
 |
The trip home. Sheldrake and Strongman have dropped the bunch and picked up Hoskin ... after repairing punctures. Sheldrake rode superbly in true Time Trial fashion clocking an average over 40km/hr for the return trip. |

Leading group having passed through Te Karaka and on their way to final climb before Ormond. |

The following A Grade bunch being ably lead by the non-sprinters of Ernie White, Barry Hyland, Michael Lynch (behind Hyland) and .... wait for it ... Steve Webb :)
Series leader Gerard Archbold (Blue Helmet, Blue short sleeve top and black shorts) is comfortably placed waiting for the sprint home |
